Smoked Bacon and Apple Quiche

Apples, smoked bacon, onion

Ingredients:

Filling

200 g bacon
3 apples
100 g blue cheese
1-2 onion
Eggs/cream mixture:
3 eggs
200 g cream (either sour cream or cream cheese)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Pastry

2 glasses of flour
150 g butter
3-4 tablespoons of water
pinch of salt

CONVERT

Directions:

Pastry:

- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Prepare the pastry – cut butter to little cubes, add a bit cream, flour and mix with hands until even. If possible put in fridge for 30 minutes. Press pastry into a quiche dish (24cm – 28cm) and pre-bake for 12 minutes in oven.

Filling:

- Saute bacon and chopped onion on a skillet. Place half of the onion on the pastry, then cover with half of apple slices and some bacon. Repeat the order onion, apple, bacon and cover the plate with eggs/cream mixture. Bake at 200 degrees C for 40 minutes, or until the custard has completely set.
